From 1994-1995 I worked as the assistant to Chicago born artist Joseph Norman.
He was my very first drawing teacher at Rhode Island College in 1987 and I learned a lot from him.
He invited me to work with him on the Rhode Island Avenue project- a large piece that is displayed
in the Rhode Island Convention Center.
It was a long, labor-filled project which Joe always kept fun.
I supervised his RISD students who were there to help us prep the large canvases for painting.
